The Benefit of Cardamom for Your Health


The rich aroma of cardamom is often used as a flavoring dishes. This plant is often used to treat problems with the herb is useful as a diluent throat and phlegm or expectorant. Conversely, for inside healing, cardamom seeds crushed and then boiled and drunk the water. This step can overcome throat problems, bloating, stomach cramps, abdominal pain, colds, bad breath (cardamom drink boiled water), vomiting, inflammation of the stomach (gastritis), and fever.

Before use it, the cardamom pods do not peel. If you want to use it, cardamom  as much as a tablespoon crushed in the mortar, so that the skin separated from the fruit. Then sieved to removed skin. Until finely ground seeds or 1/2 rough. This is embodied in the food or in the herbs. When mashing should be half and half, so the freshness is still felt.

Susanto recommend, cardamom should be kept in a state of there skin. This skin protects the seed to dry and hot weather, and protects the aroma being rapidly lost. If you want to use the trunk, choose a young and fresh.
